How long is the shelf life of the inks?

Our premium quality inks will last longer than your printer as long as you follow three simple steps: keep the caps on the bottles tightly closed, keep bottles out of direct sunlight and keep bottles at room temperature.

Is your ink available in bulk quantities?

Yes it is. Any ink you require is available in bulk quantities ranging from 2 oz bottles to 1 gallon containers or larger. Please call us to discuss customizing your bulk ink needs.

One of my coloured inks runs out before the others, how can I stop wasting the other inks?

You may have noticed that one of the colours, in a three colour cartridge, usually runs out before the others. The great thing about refilling your own cartridges is that you no longer have to waste the other inks. Simply refill the empty colour chamber and top up the other colours if necessary.

Is it difficult to refill cartridges?

It is not difficult at all. As long as you can read instructions and have motor function in your hands, you're all set!

Will using refill kits void my warranty?

According to most manufacturers' warranties, the use of a refilled cartridge in a printer does not affect the warranty unless damage or failure is directly attributed to the ink. Keep in mind that the ink does not touch any part of the printer or internal parts other than the cartridge and print head. The ink is applied to the paper and the paper is fed through the printer.

Do different printers and models use different inks?

Yes! In fact, most printer lines have different inks for different printer models. For example, an HP51626A and HP51629A - although identical cartridges - use different inks! The Canon BJI-201, BC-21, BC-02 cartridges all use different inks. It is very important to order the proper refill kit for your specific printer and cartridge type.

Will it be messy refilling my cartridge?

No. Our refill kits use a syringe filling system which allows you to precisely measure and control the filling process. Kits that refill using a squeeze bottle can be messy and don't allow for precise control. It is best to wear the gloves provided in case of a spill and work over a newspaper covered surface. The ink can be removed quickly by using a mild bleach solution or soap and water. After you get the hang of it, the chances of an accident will lessen.

How many refills will I get from a refill kit?

That depends on the capacity of your cartridge. For example: You will get approximately 15 or more refills with the Canon BC-21 cartridge and about 4 refills with the Canon BC-20 cartridge.
